Late stage prototype software issued to users for real-world usability testing prior to commercial release.
What if I experience issues while using the beta software?
If you discover issues while using the beta software, please provide details to Pointstone through the "Provide Feedback" link on the product Home Screen. In certain cases a Pointstone customer service representative may email you to get more details about the issue you are experiencing.
Do I need to remove my current Pointstone software?
No, If you have a current Total Privacy or System Cleaner version installed, you will be able to run both versions at the same time. All the settings of Total Privacy 6 are stored in different locations so you can uninstall previous versions and still keep all Total Privacy 6 configuration intact.
Are there risks to beta testing?
Please remember that the Public Beta builds are Pre-Release Beta builds. While we do not anticipate critical failures, Pre-Release Beta Builds MAY malfunction. If you do install on a computer with sensitive information, be sure to make a complete backup of all your important files to prevent the possibility of data-loss.
How do I submit feedback?
Please submit feedback to the Pointstone team using the "Provide Feedback" link on the product Home Screen. This will automatically entitle you to a free registration key once the final version ships.
How long can I use the beta software and what happens at the end of the trial?
The beta software will be active for 90 days after installation. If at any time during this period you choose to end your participation in the beta program, simply uninstall the beta product. Go to "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel, select the "Pointstone" product from the list, and click "Remove". When the new Pointstone product is released to the public you will be able to upgrade to this version from the beta version.
What happens if I keep the beta software installed beyond its expiration date?
If you are not an existing Pointstone user, the software will go into an expired state after 90 days. You then can purchase a full subscription if you like through pointstone.com.
How do I uninstall the beta software?
Go to Control Panel, then Add/Remove programs. Select the "Pointstone" product from the list and click "Remove".
